I celebrated a birthday on January 3rd and marked the occasion by having dinner at one of my favorite Boston restaurants. My top choice, Prezza, was closed for renovations (its now open again) so we decided to go to another restaurant that's top on my list and always serves consistently good food: Mistral.
From London I had been craving their tuna tartare as well as the beef tenderloin, mashed potato and truffle oil pizza, so I knew immediately what I would be ordering.

Mistral has a huge bar, which is a lively spot to sit and grab a more casual dinner, as an alternative to the dining room. I also recommend their Sunday brunch (the homemade individual coffee cakes are out of this world).
