London, England - Mount Street

My second favorite street in all of London (the first being Motcomb Street) is Mayfair's Mount Street. There is literally everything you could want on Mount Street. It is anchored on one end by the famous The Audley pub, which straight after work, is packed five deep with pints in hand on the sidewalk outside.

You can do some serious designer shopping on Mount Street. Lanvin, Goyard, Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin, Jenny Packham, Oscar de la Renta and many others hold court here.

One of London's most posh hotels, The Connaught, is located on Mount Street as well. I come here all the time for high tea, libations, (both after work or post-dinner nightcap in their two equally appealing cocktail bars) as well as the ridiculously sinful buffet brunch on Saturdays in their Helene Darroze restaurant.

Rumored to be the butcher of Queen Elizabeth, if its good enough for HRH, its good enough for me! My friends and I always buy our hamburger meat (a mix of lean beef and veal) at Allens of Mayfair in the summer months for our roof deck barbecues. Allen's is the oldest butcher in London and has been around for a staggering 120 years!

Pop into the Mount Street Deli for a quick soup, sandwich, salad, coffee and morning pastry or sweet treat. Could their miniature delivery truck be any cuter?!?

This is my favorite doorway on Mount Street. I always marvel at the detail:

Scott's restaurant on Mount Street always makes the best restaurants in London list. They are known for their seafood, dramatic marble oyster and champagne bar, and celebrity clientele. Tom Ford, who lives a few streets away, is a big fan.

The members only club George is another swanky spot on the corner of Mount Street. It is the sister club of the world famous Annabel's in Berkeley Square.

And lastly, Delfino Pizzeria always hits the spot when I am craving a thin crust wood oven pizza made by true Italians. Bustling at both lunch and dinner seatings, this is a consistently good restaurant for many Italian dishes at prices that won't send you reeling.

My pizza of choice: prosciutto cotto and mushrooms...
