I was in Milan for work last week and had the pleasure of catching up with one of my dearest friends, the always chic Venetian fashion plate, Cecilia (you may remember her fabulous guest posts on Bora Bora, Hong Kong and Jaipur). She will be guest blogging for me on her seaside trip to the hottest destination in Italy right now, Puglia, so stay tuned for that in July.
We dined at Giacomo Bistrot, a cozy little dim-lit, leather bound book lined restaurant frequented by Milan's fashion and business tycoon power players. The later it got, the more gregarious the dining room became (and the shorter the skirt lengths). In between fork twirls of pasta I was reminded how handsome the Milanese men are ... here's what we sampled:
Compliments of the house: rice balls (arancini) and fried zucchini |
Souffle of green asparagus with saffron cream |
Eggplant Parmigiana |
Homemade orecchiette pasta with fresh seasonal vegetables |
Tagliatelle with meat ragu (alla bolognese) |
Crostata with fresh strawberries |
